Kyoei USA and friends will be attending the Import Face Off in full force next month. So far the list of cars we have that will be participating in the show have reached about 12+. We will representing with mostly Lexus’ and maybe a Nissan or two.
So far we will be taking: 3 GS300’s, 3 LS400’s, 3 IS250’s, 3 SC300’s and a 350z and RB25 widebody s14.
We will know more as the next couple weeks go by and people try to get their cars ready, but it looks to be a pretty strong showing. Hopefully at least a couple of us will bring home some trophies.
We’ve added a couple new updates to the Kyoei USA website in the last couple weeks. On the homepage we have added a few social networking icons that will link you to our Facebook page, Myspace page, Linkedin page and allow you to send us an instant message if you are using the AIM program.
Also, in the top navigaton bar we’ve added a couple new links. Wheels, Used Parts, Gallery and Forum. Be sure to check out the used parts section as we are always adding to it. Wheels is one of our most visited sections which features the wheel selection that we carry. Gallery is where we will be posting pictures of car shows we attend, meets and customer cars/build ups/projects. Forum is our new discussion forum we’ve recently added.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we recently set up a new discussion forum as part of the Kyoei USA website. The main focus of our forum will be VIP car styling, aggressive wheel fitment for all types of cars and Japanese culture.

We just received notice from Tanabe that the following new products are available for the 2010 Toyota Prius: DF210 Lowering Springs (1.3″ front and 1.6″ rear), NF210 Lowering Springs (1″ front and 1.1″ rear) and the Sustec 2 point Under Brace. Now available for the 2009 and 2010 Yaris 5 Door is the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC Coilovers. Last but not least for the 2009 and 2010 Nissan Cube Tanabe has released the Sustec 2 point Under Brace.

I totally forgot to make a blog entry about this but better late than never right? Kyoei USA and crew represented pretty hard at the Intense Power Charity Car Show on December 12th 2009. This was the last event of the year and the turn out was great. Kyoei & crew accounted for about 12-13 cars and had a very strong VIP and Lexus showing. The crew got lots of attention from the crowd thanks to the super clean cars and a few with aggressive wheel fitment. The entire show was great, if I had to guess I would say there were probably close to 100 cars in the actual show and several hundred people. At least we didn’t walk away empty handed though because when it was time for the awards we took home 2 trophies. Congrats to Cesar and Josh who coincidentally both have white GS300’s.
All in all it was a great event to end 2009 and we hope that in 2010 the meets & shows get even better.

Finally! A coilover that allows you to ride slammed and have the correct valving to run super high spring rates. Kyoei USA is proud to announce that we can get you these coilovers directly from Japan! These are not sold in the USA and will not show up on Tanabe’s USA website. This is the super secret stuff that no one really knows about yet. Running crazy low offsets and stretched tires that just barely clear your fenders or are hitting your fenders under compression when you hit bumps at speed or try to make it over an incline? Then this is the coilover solution you want. You can go ultra low with these coilovers and run spring rates as high as 27k and still have the valving the shock needs to give you a nice controlled ride. This suspension is mainly available for Lexus IS, GS and LS and come in the standard kit or the “hard” kit which has slightly stiffer spring rates and valving if you want the stiffest possible set up. OG “On the Ground”
ACC’s hybrid technology fuses coilover and air bag technology into one sleek package. The On the Ground system allows you to obtain the optimum performance and ride comfort for your vehicle. The damper “sweet spot” is obtained by adjusting the locking collars and positioning the shock piston in into its optimum position.
Our good friend and customer Matt waited about 5 months to get his Work Varianza T1s wheels. The wait was worth every second after we got these bad boys mounted on the car. Next up after the holidays is coilovers so we can slam this thing. He is riding on lowering springs for the time being. Fitment is pretty much in between conservative and semi-aggressive. Matt wanted step lip so that limited the fitment to doing 9’s and 10’s for widths. Final specs ended up being 19×9 +35mm and 19×10 +35mm with 225/35/19 and 245/35/19 Vredestein tires. The finish is called Black Polish which looks killer on this Black IS250. Black Polish has a polished/machined metal finish on the face of the spokes and the inside of the spokes are gloss black. We’ll see how things look after the coilover install, but we might want to add some spacers to get the “HellaFlush” look on this IS250. Stay tuned for updates on Matt’s car!
