Kyoei USA was in attendance and in full force at this years USDM Jam. In conjunction with Kyoei Auto Service, Kyoei USA helped finish 2 cars to bring to the show. The first was a 1990 Nissan Sentra and the second was a 1995 Mazda Miata sitting on CCW wheels. All in all, there were a whopping 780 cars on display and 50 booths, including Kyoei’s. We had the privilege of attending this year’s Toyota Industry day at the Toyota Museum in Torrance, California. This private event was organized for a select few companies, businesses, and enthusiast groups in the Toyota, Lexus, and Scion scene in southern California. The day started with a introduction presentation of the Prius C. After that, we had company presentations from various shops and companies. The purpose of the presentations were to learn what the different companies were about to help provide collaboration opportunities. After that, prizes donated by the companies in attendance were raffled off. We also had the pleasure of seeing the new Prius C up close and in person at the event and we can’t forget about having open access to the museum. The museum’s collection of 200 new, old, historic, classic, custom, prototype, and race cars was a sight to see. As that wasn’t enough, the parking lot also had several cool cars from the local groups that attended. We are glad to say that we got to meet a lot of people as well as see a lot of our California friends. Overall it was a fun and positive event!

As if SEMA week wasn’t enough, we also had the pleasure of attending Autofashion’s VIP Festival this year. We drove into San Diego Saturday night after leaving Las Vegas that morning. This was the third year Kyoei attended and I know I speak for all of us here when I say that we had a blast. We met a lot of new people and saw some familiar faces. Unfortunately the weather did not fully cooperate and it rained throughout most of the day but it reminded us on how the Japanese can still produce a ton of VIP cars at a show on a rainy day. Now that is real dedication. So we decided that a little rain was not going to scare us a way. In the end, the rain didn’t stop many from coming out and staying because the turnout was huge. Cars were parked all along the street on both sides and there were still many cars in the parking lot next to and across the street from the shop. We want to thank Autofashion, the rest of the sponsors, and everyone else who helped make it happen for continuing to put on this awesome show each year and we are looking forward to making a bigger presence at next year’s show. Well, the SEMA rush has finally settled and we’re all home safely. It was a hectic week and a busy road to get there, but we made it happen without any real struggles. Aimgain just released the VIP kit for the Aristo JZS160/JZS161. This kit is smooth and accentuates the stock body lines of the car nicely without adding too much flair, all while adding a bit more class (not that the GS isnt classy enough as is). The kit consists of front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and also has other pieces available as options such as, trunk spoiler, roof spoiler, fenders, grill and fog lights.

We are very excited to bring you some of our very own “fine tuning” spacers. Our current prototype spacers are 1mm and 2.2mm (to be replaced with 2mm) thick and available in 5×114.3 (5×4.5) and 5×112 bolt patterns. Future plans include 1.5mm and 4mm spacers as well as additional bolt patterns if we get the demand. Currently the spacers will are available in 1mm and 2.2mm thicknesses. We will be releasing some more info in the near future on availability and pricing. For now, we will be looking to give away a few sets for testing to our friends on Facebook. So if you want to be one of the first lucky ones to have these, then “like” us on our FB page and hit us up.
When it comes to wheel fitment, every millimeter counts. This is true for the wheel fitment junkies whose goal is to be as low and wide as possible. But that is not the only use for spacers. Sometimes you need that extra millimeter or 2 to clear your brake calipers without pushing your wheel too far out with a large bolt on spacer and creating a clearance issue with your fender. In other cases, just when you think you have your fitment down to a T, you realize that you can afford to go a few millimeters more aggressive and that it will make all the difference in your stance. This can occur from left and right chassis differences as well as variation in body work if you’ve ever had fender work. In short, these fine tuning spacers will help with the following:
- Front and rear caliper clearance
- Make up for the left and right chassis differences and fender clearances due to body/fender work
- Perfecting Fitment
- Test Fitting

We are very excited to introduce to you RS*R’s new Ran Up oil additive. It will be available for sale very soon so be sure to contact us if you are looking to purchase some. Retail price will be around $50 per bottle but the good news is that the bottles will be about twice as big as our samples pictured below. Now we all know there are tons of products out there that promise everything in a bottle. Many people don’t buy into all those fake claims because most are not true. But, every once in a while there are some products that come along that are tried and true. RS*R’s Ran Up utilizes modern NASA technology in the way that Ran Up and NASA”s robotic lubricants are both ceramic powder based. Also, some cars in Japan’s Super GT race series have been using Ran Up for a long time now. If that isn’t enough, RS*R also uses it in their turbocharged Formula D Scion tC.
