What a weekend it was for Kyoei USA and friends along with many other automotive enthusiasts from the Phoenix area. The weekend started with very questionable weather and being that Import Face Off was cancelled last year due to rain, a lot of people were skeptical about what would happen this year. Many of us were frequently checking weather updates Friday night and all day Saturday trying to figure out when would be a good time to get the cars waxed and ready to go. Phoenix saw rain most of the morning Saturday but as soon as the rain stopped and the forecast looked ok, I was outside washing my car so I could get it prepped for my 4 stage wax process I had planned. Many of us spent all day/night Saturday getting our cars ready and for me and I’m sure many others the beers didn’t speed anything up!!
Saturday morning I wake up at 4:30am after going to sleep around 1am. Our plan was to meet up with our Lexus buddies at 5:30am and cruise together to Tucson. After someone’s alarm clock malfunction James and I didn’t end up leaving our house till around 6:45am. As soon as we were maybe 5-6 miles from our house it just straight downpours on us. Good thing we loaded up both cars with enough detailing stuff to do 10 cars!!! As soon as we got outside Maricopa it was clear skies all the way to Tucson. We made good time and got to Tucson around 8:15am where we met up with the rest of our Lexus friends that didn’t end up leaving till around 6:15 due to some technical problems with the truck hauling a trailor. After getting breakfast at McDonald’s we headed over to Southwestern International Raceway which is on the far southeast outskirts of Tucson.
We ended up being some of the first Phoenix people there and the line to get in wasn’t long at all. We ended up getting all our cars lined up in one line for the show. We ended up having 7 Lexus including 2 LS400, 2 IS250, 1 GS430, 2 GS300 and then my oddball of the group 350z. Another IS300 showed up a little later so the Kyoei group had 9 total cars. The show was a blast and the weather ended up being awesome all day long with tons of epic cloud cover which made for some great pics. Jin, owner of Kyoei USA and his black UCF20 LS400 ended up taking the trophy for Best Luxury. We did not go to the show with the intentions of winning anything so the trophy was just a bonus, it was mostly to just show people the VIP Luxury style cars and to just have a good time with friends. All in all the show was great, we didn’t have any mechanical car problems and we all made it home safely. I’m sure we will end up attending this show again next year and hopefully more VIP style cars will be there. Next show on our list is DUB Show coming up on March 13th at Phoenix Convention Center. Stay tuned!!!!!

Kyoei USA was proud to participate in the install of the Tanabe Super Low Form Damper Coilovers in our good friend’s 96 LS400. To our knowledge this is the only car in possibly the entire country to have these coilovers installed. These are ordered from Japan and not even available on the Tanabe USA website.
This car previously had Ksport coilovers for roughly a year of daily driving. They served their purpose well but he wanted something stiffer where the valving was actually correct and could control the spring rates better. The new Tanabe’s were a welcome change. The ride is definitely stiffer but everything is very well controlled and it rides awesome!! He went with the “Hard” option which uses 26kg front and 20kg rear springs. For such a high spring rate you’d imagine they would ride way too harsh but that is not the case. For guys that like a controlled stiff suspension for their Lexus, these coilovers are the best we’ve ever rode in.
For more info on these coilovers, contact us at 480.921.2995 or email to sales@kyoei-usa.com
Install begins at Kyoei USA in Tempe, Az:

Good thing Jin is Japanese so we can interpret the instuctions!

Out with the old and in with the new:

Need camber, toe and tension rods/arms for your Lexus LS400 or GS300/400/430? Nagisa Auto offers everything you need. Do you have tire feathering from camber, stretched tires and bumpsteer? Nagisa makes adjustable Tie Rod ends that will fix that issue. Need more camber and toe adjustment than what the factory arms provide? Nagisa makes adjustable arms for that too. Suspension arms for the LS and GS are extremely hard to come by and you won’t find any companies in the USA that make or carry them. Since the VIP scene is way more popular in Japan there is a much larger market for these suspension pieces. All Nagisa Auto parts are special order directly from Japan. We have connections to where we can get these parts for you fast if you need them (additional shipping costs apply of course).
LS400 & GS300/400/430 Parts Available:
Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms
Adjustable Rear Lower Arms
Adjustable Rear Tension Rod
Adjustable Tension Rod
Adjustable Tie Rod End
Adjustable Toe Control Rod
Front Camber Adapter
Check out our website www.kyoei-usa.com for more info on these parts.

Kyoei USA and friends will be attending the Import Face Off in full force next month. So far the list of cars we have that will be participating in the show have reached about 10+. We will representing with mostly Lexus’ and maybe a Nissan or two.
We will know more as the next couple weeks go by and people try to get their cars ready, but it looks to be a pretty strong showing. Hopefully at least a couple of us will bring home some trophies.

Kyoei USA carries a wide assortment of Japanese air fresheners such as the most popular “squash” and “apple squash” scents. The Air Spencer CS-X3 has been the most common and best seller for years now, especially in the tuner car market. There are many other products available as well that not many people may have heard about which is why we will show you the wide variety that we carry. Oh yeah, don’t ask me why most of these scents are some form of “squash”….I guarantee you they do not smell like squash! Just stop by if you want to smell them yourself, we have most scents on display that are already opened!
Also, we have luxury type air fresheners if you want to spice up the look in your VIP car a little and still have it smelling good at the same time, canister style air spencers that fit easily in cup holders and of course just the basic refills for the popular CS-X3 that some people just throw under their seat. Whichever style or scent you desire, we will have it in stock. Below we have listed some of the most popular air fresheners. All air fresheners include double sided tape if you want to mount them on your vehicle’s dash or what have you.
First up is the Glare Air Freshener (Comes in Volume Squash, Squash, White Musk and Unisex scents)

Another luxury type is the Embellish which uses the canister Air Spencers inside (Comes in XU white and Samurai Man gold)
One of the most popular is the Air Spencer canister (most common scents are: Squash, Apple Squash, Savon Musk and Shower Cologne)

My Shaldan canister style air freshener (available in squash scent)

Last but not least is the CS-X3 air freshener in squash scent. You can buy refills to put inside the case when you need another one or just put the refill alone under your seat.
